Karlie Redd parents: Who are her Trinidadian mother and African father?

Karlie Redd was born in New York City to a Trinidadian mother and an African-American father, though it is uncertain exactly when she was born.

Her parents were separated when she was very young. She had to commute between Trinidad where her mother resided and New York City where her father lived.

She ended all that at age twelve when she decided to make New York City her permanent place of residence.

Redd formally trained in the arts at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and the Harlem School of the Arts. She also attended college but the details of that are currently not in the public domain.
