Whats at the Centre of the universe?

No matter how we try to define and identify it, the universe simply has no center. The universe is infinite and non-rotating. Averaged over the universal scale, the universe is uniform.

Is there a black hole at the center of the universe?

Yes, there is a very large black hole at the center of our Galaxy. It has a mass of about three million suns and is very far from Earth at a distance of about 24,000 light-years. Huge black holes are thought to occur naturally at the center of most large galaxies and many have already been detected.

What city is the center of the universe?

The entire town of Wallace, Idaho is on the National Register of Historic Places. Wallace has the notable distinction of being officially declared the Center of the Universe.

How many universes are there?

In a new study, Stanford physicists Andrei Linde and Vitaly Vanchurin have calculated the number of all possible universes, coming up with an answer of 10^10^16.

Where Is The Center of The Universe?

What is the coldest place in the universe?

• At a chilly –459.67 degrees Fahrenheit (–273.15 degrees Celsius), the Boomerang Nebula is the coldest place in the universe (Image credit: ESA/NASA)
• The nebula gets its name thanks to its shape. ...
• The Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) confirmed the temperature of the coldest place in the universe. (

Can a wormhole exist?

In the early days of research on black holes, before they even had that name, physicists did not yet know if these bizarre objects existed in the real world.

Will black holes reach Earth?

Despite their abundance, there is no reason to panic: black holes will not devour Earth nor the Universe. It is incredibly unlikely that Earth would ever fall into a black hole. This is because, at a distance, their gravitational pull is no more compelling than a star of the same mass.

Where are we in the universe?

In the vast, expanding space known as the universe, humans reside on a small, rocky planet called Earth. Our planet is part of a discrete solar system in an arm of the spiral shaped Milky Way Galaxy. Our galaxy is only one of billions of other galaxies that exist within the universe.

Where is the beginning of the universe?

The Big Bang was the moment 13.8 billion years ago when the universe began as a tiny, dense, fireball that exploded. Most astronomers use the Big Bang theory to explain how the universe began.

What planet is the Centre of the universe?

The Earth is the center of the universe and is stationary. The planets, sun and stars revolve around Earth. All motions in the sky should follow circular paths as objects are attached to spherical shells. Objects obeyed the rules of 'natural motion' meaning they orbited Earth at the same speed.

Can humans create a black hole?

To study the phenomenon more closely, physicists in Israel managed to create a lab-grown, analogue black hole using some thousand atoms. This faux black hole exhibited all properties of a black hole in the state in which it is believed to exist in space.

Will our Sun become a black hole?

Will the Sun become a black hole? No, it's too small for that! The Sun would need to be about 20 times more massive to end its life as a black hole.

Are we orbiting a black hole?

But again, no worries, we are still a very long way away from the black hole at the center of our galaxy, and won't be getting anywhere near it. Scientists also want to use VERA to look at many more objects, including ones that are close to the black hole.

Does time stop in a black hole?

Time does stop at the event horizon of a black hole, but only as seen by someone outside the black hole. This is because any physical signal will get infinitely redshifted at the event horizon, thus never reaching the outside observer. Someone falling into a black hole, however, would not see time stop.

Where would a black hole take you?

By their calculations, quantum mechanics could feasibly turn the event horizon into a giant wall of fire and anything coming into contact would burn in an instant. In that sense, black holes lead nowhere because nothing could ever get inside. This, however, violates Einstein's general theory of relativity.

What year will the universe end?

22 billion years in the future is the earliest possible end of the Universe in the Big Rip scenario, assuming a model of dark energy with w = −1.5. False vacuum decay may occur in 20 to 30 billion years if the Higgs field is metastable.

Is time Travelling possible?

Yes, time travel is indeed a real thing. But it's not quite what you've probably seen in the movies. Under certain conditions, it is possible to experience time passing at a different rate than 1 second per second. And there are important reasons why we need to understand this real-world form of time travel.

Can time be bent?

So to answer your question, time does not literally "bend". A massive object modifies the proper time interval around it such that an outside observer would see objects near the mass experience less time and spacetime intervals would have their spatial components modified accordingly.

How many dimensions are there?

The world as we know it has three dimensions of space—length, width and depth—and one dimension of time. But there's the mind-bending possibility that many more dimensions exist out there. According to string theory, one of the leading physics model of the last half century, the universe operates with 10 dimensions.

What is the hottest thing in the universe?

The hottest thing in the Universe: Supernova

The temperatures at the core during the explosion soar up to 100 billion degrees Celsius, 6000 times the temperature of the Sun's core.

Will absolute zero ever be reached?

There's a catch, though: absolute zero is impossible to reach. The reason has to do with the amount of work necessary to remove heat from a substance, which increases substantially the colder you try to go. To reach zero kelvins, you would require an infinite amount of work.

How cold is the moon?

The average temperature on the Moon (at the equator and mid latitudes) varies from -298 degrees Fahrenheit (-183 degrees Celsius), at night, to 224 degrees Fahrenheit (106 degrees Celsius) during the day.

Can anything destroy a black hole?

Black holes are among the most destructive objects in the universe. Anything that gets too close to a black hole, be it an asteroid, planet, or star, risks being torn apart by its extreme gravitational field. By some accounts, the universe may eventually consist entirely of black holes.
