“After much discussion and a long period of contemplation we have decided we are better off as friends, business partners, and co-parents rather than life partners.”

With this statement, the couple made their breakup an easy deal as if the four years didn’t matter.

The love life of Zooey and Jacob

Zooey Deschanel is a popular actress known for her golden charm and entertaining figure. The American actress was born into a family in the entertainment industry, actress Mary Jo and cinematographer Caleb Deschanel.

Zooey had an upper hand in her career since her family was based in the entertainment industry. Zooey was previously married to Ben Gibbard in 2009, which sadly came to an end in 2012.

Jacob Pechenik was famous for being the husband of the popular actress Zooey Deschanel. However, Jacob’s identity doesn’t remain confined there. Jacob Pechenik is an executive producer in Hollywood.

The couple met on the set of Rock the Kasbah and started dating in the early July of 2014. Jacob has many times proven himself to be a private person as he keeps his personal information away from the spotlight.

The couple tied the knot on the 21st of June 2015 in Austin however, this remained a secret. The couple had been off to a great start with their secret dating to their secret wedding which later led to a secret pregnancy.

It seems interesting how the couple took privacy to a new level. The couple made an amazing pair since they understood one another as being in the same career field. Zooey shared the amazing bond of parenthood with Jacob after giving birth to two children.

Their first child Elsie Otter was born in July 2015 and the second child, Charlie Wolfe, was born in May 2017. The baby names show the couple having a thing for animal middle names.

The Breakup

The pair’s statement “We’re better off as friends.” made it seem as if the four years didn’t matter so much. Zooey and Jacob made an official statement saying,

“After much discussion and a long period of contemplation we have decided we are better off as friends, business partners and co-parents rather than life partners. We remain committed to our business, our values and most of all our children. Thank you for respecting our privacy at this time.”

It came out rather as a surprise that the couple bid goodbye to one another after four beautiful years. But the choices remain up to the couple on what they want from one another.

The separation of this couple here remains an affecting factor in their children’s lives. The couple has two children, Elsie Otter, 4, and Charlie Wolfe, 2, who are clueless to what may be their futures.

The decision made by adults can somehow affect children. But who knows maybe life in Hollywood may compensate for this part?
