Roberto Escobar is claimed to have married twice, the second time to Claudia; nevertheless, nothing is known about their personal lives.

Pablo’s older brother, Roberto Escobar, was a well-known Colombian cyclist; before joining his brother in the criminal underground, he intended to compete in the Tour de France.

Before joining his younger brother, Pablo, and running the financial side of the enterprise during the cartel’s rise and fall, he was a cyclist. Roberto was imprisoned for over a decade until being freed in 2006.

Roberto could no longer ride a bike after a letter-bomb burst in one of his eyes while in prison in the 1990s.
