One of the five people on board the submersible that was sent out to sea that day was reportedly Stockton Rush, the CEO of OceanGate Expeditions. The Titanic expedition’s CEO earlier stated that the project was “safe” despite the fact that it has spurred a desperate hunt for a lost submersible in the Atlantic.

One of the five personnel stuck on the Titan submersible, which is lost at sea after losing touch with teams above water during an expedition to the Titanic wreck, is OceanGate Expeditions’ CEO, Stockton Rush.

In a forthright interview done late last year, Mr Rush maintained his confidence that the mission was secure while raising some reservations.

The crew, which included Mr Rush, the renowned French explorer, diver, and mariner Paul-Henry Nargeolett, and the British billionaire and explorer Hamish Harding, departed for their $250,000 Titanic tour at around 4 a.m. yesterday. They were joined by a father and son from Britain, Shahzada and Sulaiman Dawood, both 48.
