Joyce Meyer’s children are four; two sons named Daniel B. Meyer and David L. Meyer, as well as two daughters, Sandra Ellen McCollom and Laura Marie Holtzmann. She had all her kids from her over fifty-year-long marriage to her husband, Dave Meyer.

Joyce Meyer, the president of Joyce Meyer Ministries and now one of the most respected Christian authors and speakers in the world presently, had a rather distasteful childhood, which included having to endure sexual violations from her own father. Currently 80 years old, Joyce Meyer has done her best to ensure that her children had different experiences, and those kids have gone on to start families of their own.

Joyce Meyer Has Been Married Twice

Born Pauline Joyce Hutchinson on June 4, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, United States, Joyce Meyer’s current marital relationship with her husband, Dave Meyer, is not her first. It’s been confirmed that the pastor has been married a total of two times during her stay on earth.

Not much is known about her first husband, who was reportedly a part-time car salesman, including his name, and what has become of him after his marriage to Meyer which lasted five years. While we have yet to garner the specifics, Joyce married her first husband not long after her senior year of high school, which was completed at O’Fallon Technical High School in St. Louis.

According to several reliable reports, the respected author’s first marital union failed because her ex-husband was unfaithful, and to add insult to injury, he persuaded her to steal from the company where she worked, and they used the stolen funds to go on a vacation to California. It’s on record, though, that she returned the money years later.

Following her divorce, she became a regular at local bars, and that was where she met and fell in love with her current husband, who worked as an engineering draftsman. We have yet to determine how long they dated, but several reliable sources have confirmed that they exchanged marital vows that confirmed their status as man and wife on January 7, 1967.

Joyce Meyer’s marriage has lasted for more than five decades and has experienced a lot of blessings, not the least of which is the pastor’s four children, which include two sons and two daughters.

Meet Joyce Meyer’s Two Sons

As previously indicated, Joyce Meyer and her husband are proud parents of two grown sons. Nevertheless, it is important to reveal the fact that the couple welcomed their oldest son, David L. Meyer, in 1965, two years before they officially became husband and wife in 1967.

Their second son, Daniel B. Meyer, who also happens to be the youngest of Joyce Meyer’s four children, was born several years later in 1979. Both men appear to have followed in the footsteps of their mother as ministers of the gospel, and here is what we know about their lives and their contributions to the ministry of the gospel under their parents’ tutelage.

David L. Meyer Is Joyce Meyer’s Oldest Son

• Date of birth: December 18, 1965
• Age: 58 years old
• Father: Dave Meyer
• Occupation: Preacher, CEO of Hand of Hope, Joyce Meyer Ministries World Missions

David L. Meyer was born on December 18, 1965, in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. His birth sign is Sagittarius, and he belongs to the white Caucasian ethnic group.

David Meyer is currently 58 years old, and according to close sources, he was named after his father, Dave Meyer.

David Meyer is the oldest of the four children American pastor Joyce Meyer had with her husband, even though he was conceived and born out of wedlock. Meyer’s oldest child has spent most of his life in his birthplace of St. Louis, Missouri. However, certain aspects of his early life, which include his formal educational background, have been withheld from the media and the public.

Most likely designed to prepare him for the duties he now fulfills, not just in his mother’s ministry, but in the body of Christ as well, David Meyer attended and graduated from Christ to the World Bible School.

He Is Now A Minister Of The Gospel – Like His Parents

Given his academic qualifications, it comes as almost no surprise that David Meyer is actively following in the footsteps of his mother and father as ministers of the gospel.

After graduating from Christ to the World Bible School, he spent some years as a missionary in Costa Rica before returning to the States to join Joyce Meyer Ministries, the same ministry established by his mother. He is now the CEO of Hand of Hope, Joyce Meyer Ministries World Missions.

Over time the scope of his responsibilities in the ministry has increased and includes coordinating humanitarian and disaster relief efforts. He also manages nine foreign offices, sees to the planning of International conferences, and regulates the foreign broadcast of television and radio programs like Enjoying Everyday Life, which is broadcast on TV, radio, and online to millions worldwide in over 100 languages.

David also manages the foreign book translation services, which have translated most of his mother’s books into over 160 different languages. With over thirty-five years in the ministry, David L. Meyer continues to ensure that the lost and hurting are being reached out to through the platform his mom’s ministry provides, and his efforts have seen him travel to over 160 nations just to preach the gospel.

He also keeps an eye out to make sure that the partner donations to the ministry are spent wisely. Aside from the work he does in the Joyce Meyer Ministries, David also co-founded the St. Louis Dream Center with his wife, Shelly, in 2000. The foundation’s mission statement reveals the fact that it was set up to inspire hope, empower leaders, and strengthen families.

Joyce Meyer’s Oldest Son Is Also A Grandfather

David L. Meyer has been married to his wife, Shelly, for many years, but we have yet to uncover the finer details of their union, including how, when, and where they met.

We also have yet to uncover the exact date of their wedding, but the fact that they have two children and around three grandchildren suggests that they have been married for a very long time now.

David’s length of service and position in Joyce Meyer Ministries suggests that he has a relatively good relationship with his mother.

Daniel B. Meyer Is Joyce Meyer’s Youngest Child

• Date of birth: December 23, 1979
• Age: 44 years old
• Father: Dave Meyer
• Occupation: Preacher, CEO of U.S. Operations for Joyce Meyer Ministries

Daniel B. Meyer was born two days before Christmas Day on December 23, 1979, in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. He is currently 44 years old and is the pastor’s second son.

The significant age gap between the two Meyer brothers is only a clear indicator of the fact that Daniel is not just Joyce Meyer’s second son; he is also the respected author’s youngest child.

Daniel was raised in a good, loving Christian home that helped lay the foundation for the work he now does in propagating the gospel of Jesus Christ. His relationship with his mother and other members of his family has retained the same loving qualities over the years.

Nonetheless, his academic qualifications consist of the high school diploma he earned at Rockwood Summit High School in Fenton, Missouri, and the technical training certification for TV writing, which he obtained at Ohio State University.

He also has an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Purdue University. He took a year off before attending DePaul University College of Law. Before his time at DePaul was done, Daniel served on the Executive Board of the Moot Court Society and played his part in one of the teams that participated in the National Security Law Moot Court Competition hosted by George Washington University Law School.

Daniel  is the CEO of US Operations of Joyce Meyer Ministries

Daniel Meyer has become quite integral to the smooth operation of the Joyce Meyer Ministries. The ministry’s website reveals the fact that he holds the position of the CEO of U.S. Operations for Joyce Meyer Ministries.

His responsibilities include overseeing and directing the activities of the multi-faceted non-profit ministry, which is said to have more than 400 employees at the ministry headquarters in Fenton, Missouri.

His modern and inventive ideas have been invaluable to the ministry and have placed the organization in good stead for the next generation. His dedication and hard work have also earned him some accolades, including being named among the 40 St. Louis Under 40 young professionals who have impacted their community in 2013.

Daniel B. Meyer Has Been Married For Over A Decade

Daniel is a happily married man, a reality that has persisted for the better part of a decade and a half. His wife is Nicole Meyer, and they have four children together.

Not much is known about those children, and we have yet to uncover the exact details of the marital union between Daniel and Nicole.

Joyce Meyer Has Two Daughters

Joyce Meyer has two daughters. Her first daughter, Laura Marie Holtzmann, was born in 1968, around a year after Joyce had exchanged marital vows with her husband Dave.

In 1969, just a few months after Laurie had celebrated her first birthday, her mother gave birth to another daughter in the person of Sandra Ellen McCollom. Joyce’s daughters now have lives of their own, and the details make for interesting reading.

Joyce Meyer’s Oldest Daughter Is Laura Marie Holtzmann

• Date of birth: April 5, 1968
• Age: 55 years old
• Father: Dave Meyer
• Occupation: TV personality, Preacher

Laura Marie Holtzmann was born Laura Marie Meyer on April 5, 1968, a fact that confirms she is currently 55 years old. Technically, she is the second oldest child of her parents, but she is Joyce and Dave Meyer’s oldest daughter.

Of all the pastor’s kids, Laura appears to be the one with the lowest public profile, as evidenced by the fact that there is not much information about her early life and beyond. According to several reports, she completed her high school education in her hometown of St. Louis, Missouri, before joining a California-based Christian College for her tertiary education.

Laura is her mother’s daughter, and the pair enjoy a close relationship filled with love and mutual respect. Like all her siblings, Laura is actively involved in the operations of the Joyce Meyer Ministries. Her scope of influence is largely centered around the ministry’s Hands of Hope Foundation, aimed at helping the less privileged in the community and beyond.

Like almost everything about her, details of Laura’s personal life have been meticulously kept away from the media and the public. The change in her surname suggests that she has been married for a while, but we have yet to uncover the identity of her husband as well as answer any questions regarding whether they have children or not.

Sandra Ellen McCollom Is Joyce Meyer’s Youngest Daughter

• Date of birth: October 8, 1969
• Age: 54 years old
• Father: Dave Meyer
• Occupation: Preacher, Author

Like all her siblings, Sandra Ellen McCollom was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. She was born on October 8, 1969, and is presently 54 years old. She is Joyce Meyer’s third child but also the pastor’s youngest daughter.

The most significant part of her childhood involves the fact that she gave her life to Christ when she was only eight years old through the efforts of her mother, who taught her about God’s love and how he was not mad at her.

Sandra Is Now A Pastor And An Author Like Her Mother

Despite the training and admonitions she got from her parents, Sandra lost the true tenets of the salvation she received and was held hostage by the legalism of the gospel to please God.

Her efforts, by her admission, bore no fruits, instead, they alienated her husband and kids and made her miserable. Her blog, Freedom Living Ministries, helps her readers understand how she went from being a Christian who was focused on the legalities of the gospel to one who, with the help of Paul’s teachings on grace, now understands the true measure of Christ’s death on the cross.

Sandra is the pastor of Living Word Church, where she reveals the truth of the scriptures to her congregation. Her close relationship with her mother also influenced her decision to be an author. She is the author of the book I Tried Until I Almost Died: From Anxiety and Frustration to Rest and Relaxation.

The book explains in broader terms her struggles with anxiety and fear and also shows how one can experience true freedom by depending on the perfecting power of God’s grace.

Sandra Is Happily Married With Kids

Sandra McCollom married her husband, Steve, in 1991, and the couple have been married for over three decades now. They have two daughters named Starr and Angel.
