The Beach Boys were co-founded by American musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer Brian Douglas Wilson (born June 20, 1942). He is frequently referred to as a genius for his original approaches to pop creation, exceptional musical talent, and mastery of recording techniques.

He is regarded as one of the most influential and innovative composers of the 20th century. His best-known work stands out for its excellent production values, intricate harmonies and orchestrations, layered vocals, and thoughtful or original subjects. Wilson is renowned for his longtime battles with mental illness as well as his formerly high-range singing.
