J. Christopher Burch, a businessman and investor, has aided in the establishment of businesses in the fashion, hospitality, and technology sectors as the founder and CEO of Burch Creative Capital. In 2004, he and his then-wife, the fashion designer Tory Burch, cofounded Tory Burch LLC, and he is now a significant partner in the business. His other current investments include Trademark, a clothing company founded by two of his daughters, E.D., a fashion line developed with Ellen DeGeneres, the Nihiwatu Resort in Indonesia, Aliph, which owns Jawbone, a manufacturer of Bluetooth speakers, headsets, and fitness trackers, and Poppin, a company that produces and sells office supplies.

Burch claims that he was a poor student. He was born and raised in Pennsylvania. He struggled to pay attention, was unable to read, and finished bottom in his elementary school class. Significant attention deficit disorder was the issue (long before the phrase was even known). People advised Burch’s parents to keep their expectations for his future in check because their son had a wandering mind. The Tilton prep school in New Hampshire, to which Burch donated $1.3 million in 2013, accepted him when he was 14 years old.

Who are J. Christopher Burch’s children?

He had three daughters with first ex-wife Susan Cole: Alexandra “Pookie” (born 1985), Elizabeth “Izzie” (born 1986), and Louisa “Weezie” (born 1989).

He had three other sons with second ex-wife, Tory Robinson : twins Henry and Nicholas (born 1997) and Sawyer (born 2001).

So in all, he is a father of six children.
