Sam Hunt is a musician and former footballer from the United States.

Hunt was unable to play professional football owing to an injury and instead opted to pursue music. He liked country music, but he set himself apart by deviating from standard country tunes and inventing his own style that combines elements of R&B and Hip Hop.

It wasn’t long before he signed with MCA Nashville and released the four-song EP X2C, with his breakthrough single Leave the Night On reaching the top of the Country Airplay chart.

Montevallo, his debut studio album, debuted at number one on the Top Country Albums chart in 2014.

He was recently divorced by his wife of 5 years, Hannah Lee, over his adulterous activities.
