Christopher Stokowski is Anderson Cooper’s brother and the son of Gloria Vanderbilt and Leopold Stokowski. His mother was an American artist, author, actress, fashion designer, heiress, and socialite, while his father was a legendary British conductor. Gloria and Leopold’s marriage lasted for 12 years, and they had their son on January 31, 1952, making him 71 years old.

Following his parent’s divorce, Christopher’s mother married Wyatt Emory Cooper, with whom she had Anderson Cooper, the American broadcast journalist and political commentator. This makes Anderson and Christopher half-brothers. Cooper’s half-brother grew up having an aversion towards fame, all because of his mother’s high-profile status. Despite the difficulty of wading through the effects of his mother’s fame, he lived without controversy, staying away from the limelight even after going off to Bard College.
