Rapper Lil Scrappy, born Darryl Raynard Richardson III on January 19, 1984, is from the United States.

Lil Jon, a producer and singer, saw Richardson when he saw him at an Atlanta club.

Lil Scrappy was one of the first artists signed to Lil Jon’s BME Recordings, along with labelmates Trillville. Through a number of mixtape releases, Richardson has established a solid name and a devoted fan base throughout the Atlanta hip hop scene and the Southeastern United States.

Trillville songs made up one “half” of the disk on Lil Scrappy’s debut album, The King of Crunk & BME Recordings Present: Trillville & Lil Scrappy, which was split into two parts. On the Billboard 200, the album peaked at number twelve.

Like his first independent album, Prince of the South 2, Lil Scrappy’s second independent album was made available on October 19, 2010, through Real Talk Entertainment. The first single from the album, “Addicted To Money,” was released by Lil Scrappy on September 8, 2009; however, as it did not register on the Billboard charts, it was designated as a promotional single.

Then, on September 28, 2010, Lil Scrappy released the debut album from the song “Bad (That’s Her),” which featured Stuey Rock but was deemed a promo single because it too failed to chart on the Billboard charts.

Lil Scrappy has participated in seven seasons of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta since 2012.
