Former American model Dian Parkinson was born Dianna Lynn Batts on November 30, 1944 in Jacksonville, North Carolina. She is most known for having worked on The Price is Right for 18 years (1975–1993), making her one of the longest-tenured Barker’s Beauties.

She won the Miss District of Columbia USA title in 1965 at the age of 21, while residing in Falls Church, Virginia, and competing as Diana Batts in the Miss USA 1965 pageant, where she finished as the fourth runner-up. In 1965, Parkinson was crowned Miss World USA. She later competed in the international Miss World competition on behalf of the United States and finished behind Lesley Langley of the United Kingdom for first place.

Beginning in the 1970s, Dian made the decision to change directions in her career because she wanted to pursue a successful career in front of the camera. She appeared on the covers of numerous magazines, including Cosmo, and she went on endless auditions for little parts in TV and film.

Dian had at least two prior marriages (as well as a rumored 3rd marriage in her later years). She formally changed her last name to Parkinson when she wed Robert E. Parkinson, the executive director of the Miss Universe Pageants, in 1967, but their union broke up a few years later.

Dian remarried to iconic Hollywood producer E. Duke Vincent in the summer of 1977. Vincent is known for his work on several shows, including Beverly Hills 90210, Charmed, and Melrose Place. He produced television programs like Aloha Paradise, Strike Force, and Vega$ at the time of their marriage (which lead to Dian appearing in a number of guest starring roles on the series).

But of course, in the late 1980s, she began a protracted relationship with Bob Barker after years of persistent playful flirtation and teasing before they started dating or having an affair on an intimate level.
