Many stores have a policy of not accepting returns on clearance items, as these items are often sold at a significant discount. This exception is important to be aware of, as it may limit your ability to return diapers if you purchase them on clearance.

Another common exception is for online purchases. Some stores may have different return policies for online purchases compared to in-store purchases. For example, a store may allow you to return diapers purchased in-store without a receipt, but require a receipt for online purchases.
