Howie Mandel is a famous comedian, television personality, actor, and producer who has been entertaining audiences for decades. He is known for his roles in shows such as St. Elsewhere, Deal or No Deal, and America’s Got Talent. He is also known for his struggles with obsessive-compulsive disorder and germophobia, which he has openly discussed and joked about.

However, in recent times, some fans have been worried about his health and well-being, especially after a viral rumor claimed that he had died. The rumor started in May 2023, when a fake news website published an article with the headline “Howie Mandel Dead at 67”. The article claimed that Mandel had passed away from a heart attack at his home in Los Angeles, and that his family and friends were devastated by the news. The article also included a photo of Mandel lying on a hospital bed, with a caption that read “RIP Howie Mandel”.

The article quickly spread on social media, where many people expressed their shock and sadness over Mandel’s supposed death. Some people also shared their memories and tributes to the comedian, while others questioned the validity and source of the article. The rumor also reached some of Mandel’s colleagues and co-stars, who were confused and concerned by the news.

However, the rumor was soon debunked by several reliable sources, including Mandel himself. Mandel took to his Twitter account to address the rumor and reassure his fans that he was alive and well. He posted a video of himself holding a newspaper with the date and the headline “Howie Mandel is NOT dead”. He also wrote “I’m alive. I’m OK. Thanks for caring. See you soon.”

The fake news website that published the article was also exposed as a hoax site that generates false and sensational stories for clicks and views. The site had a disclaimer at the bottom that read “This website is an entertainment website, news are created by users. These are humorous news, fantasy, fictional, that should not be seriously taken or as a source of information.” The photo of Mandel on the hospital bed was also revealed to be a manipulated image that was taken from a 2014 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, where Mandel pranked the host by pretending to be sick.

The rumor of Mandel’s death was therefore a false and malicious one, that was intended to deceive and mislead the public. It was also a disrespectful and insensitive one, that caused unnecessary distress and harm to Mandel and his loved ones. Mandel is not the first celebrity to be targeted by such rumors, and he is unlikely to be the last. However, he has shown his resilience and humor in the face of such adversity, and he has proven that he is very much alive and kicking.
