Tommy Dorfman is an American actress, who rose to fame for playing the major character, Ryan Shaver, in one of the arguably the most-watched Netflix series 13 reasons Why.

Dorfman is a transgender, who revealed and announced on her Instagram page on July 22, 2021, that should be addressed as a woman.

She posted, “thrilled to reintroduce me as the woman I am today. my pronouns are she/her”

The “13 reasons why” star added that she was “grateful to every single trans person who walked this path, broke down barriers, and risked their lives to live authentically and radically as themselves before me.”

Tommy Dorman was born May 13, 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.

She graduated with a bachelor’s Degree in theatre art from Formharm University in 2015.

In an interview with 13 reasons why actress, Tommy Dorfman revealed she had been  “privately identifying and living as a woman” for almost a year.

Are Tommy Dorfman and Lucas Hedges together?

The 29-year-old actress got engaged to Peter Zurkuhlen in April 2015 and the two married on November 12, 2016, in Portland, Maine.

Unfortunately, the couple separated in July 2021, and according to Dorfman, she is still friends with her ex-husband, Peter Zurkuhlen.

The relationship between Tommy Dorfman and “boy erased” star, Lucas Hedges is quite unclear.

Last year somewhere in June, Tommy Dorfman and Lucas Hedges were spotted holding hands in public, while Dorfman was still married to Peter Zurkuhlen.

Also on August 13, Tommy and Lucas were seen heading into a restaurant to meet up with friends on a Friday night.

There has not been any official statement from the two, revealing whether or not they are together or in a relationship.

Hence, one could only conclude that Tommy and Lucas are just platonic friends, even though the two had been seen out together severally.
